Polya Tatievsky

Biography
Polina was born in 1982 in Bukhara, Uzbekistan — a historic city rich in cultural and artistic heritage. From an early age, she demonstrated a strong sensitivity to color, composition, and visual storytelling, which later shaped her artistic path.
In 2010, she graduated from the Uzbekistan State Institute of Arts and Culture in Tashkent, where she studied Fine Arts and developed a solid technical foundation and distinctive artistic voice.
In 1995, she emigrated to Israel with her family. While living there, she continued to evolve creatively and was actively involved in art education, teaching drawing to children. This experience deepened her understanding of artistic expression and strengthened her connection to the emotional and developmental aspects of visual art.
In 2014, Polina moved to Canada, marking a new chapter in her creative journey. The Canadian landscape and northern light introduced new tonal subtleties and contemplative qualities into her paintings.
Today, her work reflects a synthesis of Eastern heritage, Mediterranean warmth, and North American clarity — a visual dialogue shaped by life across cultures and continents.
